Los Angeles World Airports concession team changes amid LAX concession review

Los Angeles World Airports (LAX) has reshuffled its concession management team following the departure of several key staff. Following the resignation of concession manager Chris Strom last month, and more recently deputy executive director for business development Jerry Copelan, Karen Tozer has been temporarily assigned to the position of concessions manager. Tozer has been a member of the concessions oversight committee for a year. Until a replacement for Copelan is appointed, Spence Ballard from consultancy John F Brown will lead a task force to oversee the airport's business development activities.

LAWA is working on a blueprint for its concession programme at Los Angeles International airport, which will run over the next 10 to 15 years. It appointed consultancy Centre for Airport Management (CAM) to develop its strategic concessions plan last year.
