Kraft Foods World Travel Retail plans to regionalise its organisation structure as well as its business and portfolio approach to capitalise on the growth potential of emerging markets

Following a recent strategy review Kraft Foods World Travel Retail has revealed plans to regionalise its organisation structure as well as its business and portfolio approach to capitalise on the growth potential of emerging markets.

It will create two separate geographical divisions, one to handle the Middle East and Asia/Pacific and the other for Europe and the Americas. Each division will be headed by a regional director who will report to managing director World Travel Retail Andreas Fehr.

To support the new strategy the company will make a number of new appointments. Jaya Singh will take the position of regional director Middle East/Asia Pacific, effective from July 1. Singh’s role will be to define and implement a region-specific growth strategy and one of his first tasks will be to establish and staff Kraft’s new North Asia office in Hong Kong. The Middle East/Asia Pacific team
will consist of area manager Rajiv Malhotra, based in Singapore, and regional sales manager Sanjay Karadi, based in Dubai. There are vacancies for a Hong Kong-based area manager and a regional marketing manager.

Roger Winnewisser will join Kraft as regional director Europe/Americas on July 1, based at the company’s Zürich office. He previously worked for The Nuance Group for seven years on several international assignments and more recently held the position of buying and merchandising director Asia/Pacific. His team consists of area manager Thomas Bodenmann, based in Zürich, area manager Tom Rinne, based in Helsinki, area manager Mathis Dreher, based in Miami, regional sales manager Petri Tapio, based in Helsinki, regional sales manager Gemma Bateson,
based in London, regional sales manager Savina Krasteva, based in Zürich, and regional sales manager Yolanda del Mazo, based in Paris.

Fehr said: “Please join me in congratulating all appointees on their new roles and wishing them
every success in their new assignments. Please offer them your full support.”
