King Power International, a subsidiary of King Power Group Hong Kong, has topped the bidding for a new travel products shop concession at Singapore Changi airport terminal one, departure lounge east. Bids closed on January 26

King Power is tendering against two other companies: OA Supplies and The Planet Traveller Luggage People. King Power has offered 20% of monthly sales in additional rental, or S$30,000 (US$18,400) in year one and S$32,000 (US$19,630) in year two, whichever is higher.

In other Changi news, the airport has awarded three new three-year contracts in the fashion and jewellery sectors. Poh Heng Jewellery was awarded a jewellery concession in T1 departures, while Active World and Giordano Originals were each awarded concessions for mid-priced branded fashion apparel stores in T1 west. Active World will operate a 142sq m (1,530sq ft) store from March 1, while Giordano will take over a 110sq m (1,185sq ft) space from April 1.
