King Power International Group (Thailand) is awaiting clarification from Airports of Thailand (AoT), as reports indicate that it plans to search for new duty-free retailers at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport operator Airports of Thailand (AoT) is seeking new duty-free operators, according to local reports from The Nation and The Bangkok Post. But King Power International Group (Thailand) group deputy managing director Susan Whelan told Ravenfox.com: “We are awaiting notification from AoT in respect of our contracts.  It is business as usual.”

A report from The Nation said that AoT would prefer to have two or three companies managing the airport’s duty-free shops. It also indicated that AoT has resolved to have direct leases with all tenants individually.
