The retailer’s new operations at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport and downtown have been rewarded with four wins at the Raven Fox Awards for Travel-Retail Excellence in Asia/Pacific
Nuance-Watson (Singapore) was named the Asia/Pacific Travel Retailer of the Year at the Raven Fox Awards for Travel-Retail Excellence in Asia/Pacific, held at the Singapore Suntec Centre. The groups achievement is even more significant because it is a single-category retailer, said general manager and global head of beauty category Ken Tse.
The company also won the Best Fragrances and Cosmetics Travel Retailer in Asia/Pacific award, joining Cathay Pacific Airways, Dimensi Eksklusif and LOréal Luxury Products Division Travel Retail Asia (Scental) which also collected two awards each. Cathay took prizes for the Best Website Serving the Travelling Consumer in Asia/Pacific and Best Inflight Retailer in Asia/Pacific. Dimensi won Best Travel Retailer Operating in a Single Country and Best Tobacco Travel Retailer in Asia/Pacific. And Scental won Asia/Pacific Supplier of the Year and Best New Product Launch in Asia/Pacific, for Ralph Lauren Polo Black.
But the biggest winner of the night was King Power International Group (Thailand), which scooped four prizes: Best New Shop Opening at an Airport in Asia/Pacific; Best Gifts Travel Retailer in Asia/Pacific; Best Fashion, Leathergoods and Accessories Travel Retailer in Asia/Pacific; and Best Food and Confectionery Travel Retailer in Asia/Pacific.
The other winners were Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, as Asia/Pacific Airport Authority with the Most Supportive Approach to Travel-Retail; DFS Singapore for Best Liquor Travel Retailer in Asia/Pacific; and Dubai Duty Free as Middle East Travel Retailer of the Year.
