Kiessling to head duty-free at La Prairie

Maike Kiessling has been promoted to fill a new global duty-free position at La Prairie
Switzerland-based cosmetics and skincare company La Prairie has promoted long-standing employee Maike Kiessling to managing director of travel-retail and duty-free worldwide. She will manage domestic distribution in Europe and Middle East.The company, which owns Juvena, Marlies Möller Beauty Hair Care and SBT Skin Biology Therapy, said that Kiessling's position had been created to reflect the company's strategy to handle its travel-retail and duty-free business from a global perspective.
Kiessling has held several management positions in the training, retail communications and duty-free departments of the company since she joined La Prairie from Estée Lauder in 1992. She said: "I am delighted with this new challenge in an area which, along with the Asian region, represents our main future focus and offers huge business potential."
