Kiehl’s opens second travel-retail door at Taiwan Taoyuan airport

L’Oréal Luxury Products International has started to roll out its Kiehl’s brand in Asia/Pacific

Cosmetics brand Kiehl’s has opened its second travel-retail door at Taiwan Taoyuan airport in partnership with local operator Ever Rich Duty Free Shop Corp. The 30sq m (323sq ft) boutique is located within the main beauty store in terminal two.

According to the company, further developments in travel-retail within the Asia/Pacific region will keep to the stand-alone or shop-in-shop format “to allow travellers to experience the brand fully”. The new store’s design features a 1961 Harley Davidson Topper scooter, which is part of the Kiehl’s motorcycle collection.

Kiehl’s new shop will also work with the Harmony Home Association of Taiwan, a local charity organisation that takes care of children and babies with AIDS. The brand said it has been “extremely successful” at Hong Kong International airport, where its first travel-retail outlet opened last year.
