Passengers will be offered samples of the company’s new cereal bars in World Duty Free outlets at London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports

Cereal brand Kellogg’s has made its debut in travel-retail by showcasing two cereal bar variety packs in World Duty Free (WDF) outlets at London Heathrow airport terminals three and five, Gatwick South and Stansted.

To celebrate the launch of the Special K and Kid’s Cereal bar variety packs, which have been exclusively designed for the channel, Tony the Tiger and Coco the Monkey will be offering passengers samples of the new bars until the end of August. The Special K packs contain different flavoured bars, including red berries and chocolate chip. The Kids Cereal pack brings together well-known Kellogg’s cereal bars such as Frosties and Coco Pops. Kellogg’s variety snack bags will be available in WDF outlets priced at £5.50 ($11) for 10 snack bars.

WDF head of category for food Fraser Dunlop said: “This is a great product for WDF stores and is an ideal product for our customers over the summer months. We encourage people to arrive early at the airport to enjoy the entertainment WDF stores offer.”

Kellogg’s travel-retail general manager Neil Finlayson said: “We are extremely excited to be partnering with WDF for the first time. Kellogg’s prides itself on being an innovator in the cereal market and we feel WDF is a great platform to showcase the variety packs we have to offer.”
