The airport's managing director has resigned after eight years with airport group TBI

London Luton airport managing director Paul Kehoe has resigned from his post at the airport. Kehoe was also formerly the operations director of TBI. The move follows the takeover and integration of TBI by the AENA and Abertis joint venture ACDL in January 2005.

A statement from the airport said: "Paul feels that after a six month transition under ACDL and eight years with TBI, the time is now right to allow the team to continue with the development of London Luton airport. He has successfully turned the airport around from a loss-making entity and has delivered four years of profitable growth. In addition, he has achieved an exciting opportunity working with the government to ensure that London Luton plays a full role in the future of air transport in the UK."
