Kauffmann takes top ASUTIL post

At its general assembly last month, South American trade association ASUTIL elected its board members for 2003

Brasif Duty Free Shop vice-president business development Samuel Kauffmann takes on the role of president, succeeding ex-InterBaires ceo Randy Emch. Kauffmann had held the post temporarily following Emch's departure from the Argentinian operator in October last year.

The full make-up of the new ASUTIL board is as follows:

President: Samuel Kauffmann, Brasif Duty Free Shop

Vice-President: Julio Lopez Castano, Aldeasa

Secretary and Treasurer: Ariel Sanchez Sanchez, Zeinal Hermanos

Directors: Francisco Brizuela, Bright Star
       Luciano Carvalho, Duty Free Bahia
       Rubens Horwatitsch, H Stern
       Enrique Urioste, InterBaires
       Francisco Heredia Lafuente, London Supply
       Jose Gonzalez, Weitnauer America

Secretary-General: Jose Luis Donagaray
