June deadline for HKIA landside tenders

Three landside speciality and arrivals stores are being tendered by Hong Kong International airport

Hong Kong International airport (HKIA) is still accepting submissions of interest following an invitation to tender covering three landside outlets at terminal one’s departures check-in hall level seven and arrivals hall level five. The stores range in size from 37sq m (398sq ft) to 55sq m (592sq ft) and the closing date for applications is June 11.

The airport authority said the shops’ location captures “a high potentiality of consuming power from the diversified and dynamic flow of departing and arriving passengers, meeters and greeters, nearby residents and over 60,000 airport staff”. HKIA catered for 47.8m travellers in 2007 and the airport expects “robust annual passenger traffic growth” year on year.
