JetBlue to operate new JFK terminal

The low-cost carrier is to benefit from an $875m construction project at the New York airport

JetBlue Airways is to operate a new 640,000sq ft (59,314sq m) terminal at New York JFK airport, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has revealed. The authority said it would invest around $875m in the new site - although details of the funding are not yet clear - with construction scheduled to start next year. The low-cost carrier, which brings the most passengers to New York of any budget airline, will operate the terminal under a 35-year lease.
