Jayawardena to consult on Thai Airways contract

Japan-based Traveler Corp has appointed Centaur Travel Retail, the company owned by well-known industry executive Rakhita Jayawardena, as consultant for its Thai Airways duty-free contract

Jayawardena told TRW he would be handling all supply negotiations for the new brochure launch on May 1, as well as deciding the product mix onboard, plus marketing and merchandising.

"It's good to see newcomers like Traveller Corp in the business," he said, "and with their knowledge of the traveller and my experience in this industry, we can make the programme a success."

Traveler Corp's three-year contract for the business began on December 1.
