The retailer's partnership with Boss distributor Vendome has secured one of four fashion contracts at Tel Aviv's new international terminal

James Richardson has been awarded a contract to operate an international fashion outlet at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport's new international terminal when it opens in November. The retailer?which has already obtained concessions to operate liquor, tobacco, fragrances, cosmetics, confectionery, drugstore, delicatessen and sport?will run the store in a joint venture with local distributor Vendome and intends to stock Boss, Armani and Lacoste apparel.

The company will operate the joint venture along similar lines to its partnership with MGS International in the sports concession, where James Richardson is the majority partner (51:49). Vendome will focus on product selection and weightings while James Richardson will oversee the retail operation of the airside store.

The fashion tenders complete the retail line-up of the new T3. The facility will open with Israeli tourism on an upswing after three tough years?international visitors to the country rose 43% to around 900,000 in the last financial year (ending June 30), although still way off the record 1.75m welcomed in 2000.
