The Australian retailer has taken over The Nuance Group’s duty-free stores in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch

Australia-based retailer James Richardson, trading as JR Duty Free, has officially taken over The Nuance Group’s duty-free stores in New Zealand, including shops at Auckland International, Wellington and Christchurch airports. The company acquired all of Nuance’s operations in the country in May after winning the contract to replace Nuance as the second duty-free operator at Auckland airport in February.

James Richardson chairman duty-free Garry Stock told DFNIonline: “We are taking over the existing shops, which we are rebranding. The new shops will not be opening for some time. They will open progressively over the next few months.”
