The tobacco supplier claims that anticipating travellers’ needs and innovation are key objectives
Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has opened five smoking lounges at Casablanca Mohammed V, Marrakech Menara and Agadir Al Massira airports. The move is a response to changes in public smoking legislation and JTI has already implemented a smoking lounge concept at airports such as Zürich, Kiev Boryspil, Dubai International and Ho Chi Minh City Tan Son Nhat International.
JTI vice-president Edouard Touma said: Allowing smokers to smoke while respecting the rights of non-smokers is a priority for JTI. Over the past three years, smoking lounges and stations have enjoyed tremendous success in leading European and Asian airports where the travellers well-being is a priority.
