David Francis replaces long-standing vice-president Edouard Touma
Tobacco products supplier JT International (JTI) has appointed David Francis as temporary head of its worldwide duty-free business. Francis worked at cigarette manufacturer Gallaher for more than 30 years, where he led the company’s travel-retail business and held various marketing and sales positions. He joined JTI last year following its acquisition of Gallaher.
JTI regional president Martin Braddock, who is responsible for worldwide duty-free, said: “David Francis has ably directed our Western Europe and Middle East duty-free region during a time of considerable change. He is certainly well qualified for this important position.”
Francis added: “I am proud to be given the role at this particular stage. As a result of the [Gallaher] acquisition, a broader, more competitive and balanced brand portfolio enables us to service a more diverse range of customers and consumers.”
