JHP Design and Thai partner Concept International Design have been awarded the contract to plan commercial and retail areas at Suvamabhumi airport.

JHP Design and Thai partner Concept International Design have been awarded the contract to plan commercial and retail areas at Suvamabhumi airport. JHP will be responsible for design concept and strategy at the new facility, set to open in 2005, with CID looking after local client liaison and project management. Once completed, the airport will cover 500,000sq m (5,400,000sq ft) and will handle up to 45m passengers each year.

JHP joint managing director Steve Collis said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for us to win and adds a new dimension to our extensive experience in the airport sector."
