JFK T4 stores report sales up by 15%

Growth boosted by high passenger levels and retail expansion and renovation.
New York JFK terminal four airports landside retailers recorded sales 15% higher in 2006 than in the previous year. The sales growth was driven by a 19% increase in passenger traffic to 3.8m, as well as commercial developments such as store expansions, additions and renovations.
In December accessories retailer Bijoux Terner joined the line-up of shops landside at T4. The store will be managed by a joint venture between Aer Rianta International and local partner Sardana, which operates 11 retail outlets at the terminal.
