IAA director commerce and properties Yoram Shapira will reveal the commercial strategy behind Tel Aviv's new international terminal at next year's Global Travel Retail Summit

Israel Airports Authority director commerce and properties Yoram Shapira will explain the vision behind Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport's new international terminal at next year's Global Travel Retail Summit, organised by Raven Fox. In a session entitled "Maximising Commercial Gains in the Airports of the Future", Shapira will explain how the authority planned the new facility, which opened earlier this month, with commercial revenues in mind at every stage of the process.

Shapira joins a prestigious list of speakers at the event, to be held on February 2-4 at London's Millennium Gloucester Hotel. BAA managing director UK airport retail Colin Hargrave, Alpha Airports Group CEO Kevin Abbott, Dufry Group CEO Julián Diáz and Dubai Duty Free managing director Colm McLoughlin are among those to have confirmed their participation. Other speakers include Aldeasa international business development director Julio López Castaño, The Nuance Group CEO Europe Carlo Bernasconi and Hong Kong International Airport commercial director Hans Bakker.

Delegates booking for the three-in-one event, which includes the Raven Fox Charity Ball and the new Global Travel Retail Awards, before December 10 will be eligible for a 20% discount in the booking fee.
