Argentinian operator InterBaires has anticipated a turnover of $42m from its shops at Buenos Aires Ezeiza and Aeroparque airports for 2003. The Deutsche Bank owned company said it expected the figure, representing a 20% increase on turnover in 2002, would be boosted by the recent introduction of its Duty Free Point customer-loyalty program.

Under the scheme, customers earn one point for every US dollar spent at the shops. Participants can collect discounts of up to 10% at Interbaires' shops when they accumulate 500 points. The operator also said it would be investing $400,000 in a new marketing campaign.
