Inter Parfums restructures for growth

The company is to create a dedicated Burberry fragrances division following a new licence agreement signed late last year
Inter Parfums has created two divisions to support its planned expansion: Burberry Fragrances division, to be headed by Burberry Fragrances president Marcella Cacci, and a luxury and fashion division devoted to Inter's Lanvin, Paul Smith, S.T Dupont, Christian Lacroix and Celine licences, to be managed by executive vice-president Frédéric Garcia-Pelayo.
Each division will be responsible for product development, marketing and international distribution of their respective brands, and will report to chairman and CEO Philippe Benacin. The reorganisation follows the signing of Inter's new fragrance licence agreement with Burberry in October last year. The contract will run for twelve and a half years, with an option to extend for an additional five years.
Benacin said: "I am pleased that Marcella Cacci will be heading the Burberry Fragrances division at Inter Parfums during this important phase in the company's development. Her understanding of the luxury market combined with strong commercial direction and marketing expertise will bring added dimension to the Inter Parfums team."
