Nuance-Watson (HK) launches electronics concept and expands outpost scheme
Hong Kong International airport retailer Nuance-Watson (HK) has opened what it calls a "ground-breaking electronics concept" called Intelligent Home. The store will showcase a selection of home office products and appliances.
Intelligent Home is located in the landside departures hall near Nuance-Watson's more established electronics outlet Fortress – a franchise of the dominant Hong Kong high street store. The retailer insisted that the products in Intelligent Home will not duplicate those in Fortress. Nuance hopes that the store, which is opposite the check-in hall's retail and catering area, will attract a broad range of customers including departing passengers, meeters and greeters and local residents.
The new shop's interior features front-of-store demonstration areas and is designed to "ensure that 'cold' electronics products look and feel warmer and more inviting".
Nuance-Watson (HK) is also introducing more outpost stores, including its first Samsonite Black Label shop, offering a range of Samsonite's X-lite, Vintage and Signat collections. Earlier this year, Nuance also opened a Victorinox outpost, selling watches and luggage, and two sunglasses concepts selling lines from Dior, Gucci, Polo Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Ray-Ban, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Bvlgari, D&G, Versace and DKNY.
Further outposts include an IWC watch store near the main immigration gates. The shop will showcase the IWC Pilot's collection with the help of a plasma screen showing flight footage. The opening of a third Ferrari outpost was marked by the Asia airport debut of the Michael Schumacher collection.
