Ibrahim to depart Abu Dhabi Duty Free and Cappell returns

Niveen Ibrahim is to leave ADDF and Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) and former deputy managing director Dan Cappell will return to ADDF as general manager
Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) general manager and Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) acting commercial director Niveen Ibrahim is to leave both roles at the end of October to join UAE-based hospitality and property management company Pearl Azure. She will be replaced at the two companies by Dan Cappell, who previously worked as ADDF deputy managing director from April 2002 to May 2006. He will assume the role of general manager at the duty-free operator and take the position of acting commerical director for ADAC. He will also be assisted by the companys long-serving senior managementassistant general managers for commerce and operations James McLean and Karen Fairman. The news comes after ADDF managing director Mohamed Mounib left his post as managing director at ADDF and his other role as ADAC commercial director last month to become CEO of Pearl Azure.
Ibrahim said: My 17 years of service to ADDF could not have been more enjoyable and challenging. However, the time has come for me to pursue another step in my career. I am glad to announce that the chairman of ADAC, HE Khalifa Al Mazrouei, has appointed Dan Cappell to succeed me in the two roles and, of course, with Dan being no stranger to our operations here I am assured [ADDF] will maintain its path of success and flourish as the new opportunities and developments continue under the sound leadership of our chairman.
