ISPY celebrates sales crew achievements

4-Feb-2008

The world’s best-selling airline sales crew were recognised last Friday at the culmination of the week-long Inflight Sales Person of the Year event

The 2008 Inflight Sales Person of the Year (ISPY) awards ceremony was held at the Park Inn hotel near London Heathrow airport on February 1, honouring the world’s best airline sales people. Gulf Air’s Anjali Righton won the Global Inflight Sales Person of the Year award, while First Choice Airways was presented with the ISPY Airline of the Year award, for “developing a sales crew culture”.

Righton’s award capped a good night for Gulf Air. Cynthia Lazatin was named the overall winner in the Rest of World (outside of UK and Ireland) competition, with Clenito Pinto highly commended in the Rest of World Product Knowledge award.

The full list of sales crew awards, which are decided by a judging panel headed by ISPY co-founders Ray and Christine Martin, are below.

In the separate ISPY Management awards, which were presented on January 31, Scorpio Distributors was chosen by airlines as Supplier of the Year, with Premier Portfolio, Alexander Bottega and Mars highly commended. Suppliers voted First Choice Airways as the Airline of the Year, with Aer Lingus, Jet2.com, Thomas Cook Airlines and Singapore Airlines highly commended.
