The two companies will offer a selection of luxury vintage products from high-profile brands on board and online
Onboard retailer Inflight Sales Group (ISG) and Cathay Pacific Airways have announced that a new range of luxury vintage products from high-profile brands will be available through the carrier’s inflight magazine and duty-free website from April 1. The collection will feature unique pieces from brands such as Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Rolex, with prices ranging from under $1,000 to $25,000 for a vintage Rolex Steve McQueen timepiece (pictured).
While passengers will be able to collect most products on board, some articles—such as the turn-of-the-century Louis Vuitton travel trunks—will be delivered to their homes.
ISG chairman Jean Marcel Rouff said: ““Never before have passengers had access to such interesting luxury items in this channel. They will now be able to buy a rare piece of history that is unavailable to most of the travelling public. The programme represents a huge undertaking in sourcing and marketing strategy that began more than 12 months ago, and is a first step in a new direction for our inflight business. This is a first in a series of innovative offerings we will implement in 2008–09.”
