The organiser of the Duty Free Show of the Americas has allocated 99.7% of floor space at next April's exhibition

The International Association of Airport Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) has claimed a "fantastic response rate" from potential exhibitors has enabled it to sell 99.7% of floor space at the forthcoming Duty Free Show of the Americas in Fort Lauderdale on April 17-21 2005. The organisation said it had yet to finalise booth allocations, but once the process is complete delegates will be able to access an interactive floorplan on the IAADFS website, www.iaadfs.org.

IAADFS said the new, tradefloor-only format would be "much more convenient and time efficient". Once again, social activities at the show will include the nightly Club Americas, an opening reception and closing gala dinner, and a sports day on the eve of the show.

Online registration has begun and can be accessed via the IAADFS website. Postal registration forms are being mailed to interested companies next week.

IAADFS has reserved blocks of rooms at six hotels in Fort Lauderdale; the Embassy Suites, the Marina Marriott, the Hyatt Regency Pier 66, Marriott's Harbor Beach Resort and Spa, the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale and the Sheraton Yankee Clipper Beach Resort. A shuttle service to the Fort Broward centre is available and some hotels are within walking distance. Attendees are being asked to book with the IAADFS housing bureau instead of directly with individual hotels.
