Hugo Boss unveils 150th travel-retail store

The German fashion group celebrates the important milestone at Minneapolis St Paul airport, where it has opened its first North American standalone store

Hugo Boss has opened its 150th travel-retail outlet - a 68sq m (732sq ft) airside store opened in partnership with Tie Rack (US) at Minneapolis St Paul International airport. The store opened on July 29 and displays Boss Black and Boss Orange menswear and accessories.

Hugo Boss chairman and CEO Bruno Sälzer said: “Travel-retail is of great strategic importance to Hugo Boss. It is a key distribution channel, both in terms of business and brand visibility. In line with the company’s expansion plans, travel-retail will play a significant role in supporting the growth of our womenswear lines and accessories. The opening of this first stand-alone travel-retail store in North America is a big accomplishment for our travel-retail department and a considerable development in our growth strategy in this region.”
