Fluri replaces Werner Lackas, who had occupied the latter position since October 1997.
Fluri was CEO of Deutscher Paket Dienst (DPD) and DPD GeoPost Deutsch. He had previously worked for 24 years at tobacco company Philip Morris, where he was responsible for their global duty-free business for four years.
Hugo Boss chairman of the supervisory board Giuseppe Vita said: “Hans Fluri is an experienced manager who has proven that he can advance organisations at an international level. He is the ideal addition to the managing board of Hugo Boss and a true enhancement for the company. Mr Fluri is also a unique leader who has proven his ability to successfully run a company of several thousand employees while remaining a team player.”
