Hudson awarded Orlando news and gifts

New Jersey-based Hudson Group has picked a 3,500sq ft (352sq m) news and gift concession serving the airside three area of Orlando International airport

The store will present two of the group's main brands: Hudson News and Hudson's Book Corner. A Fox News feature will display the leading cable news channel with a ticker showing news headlines and plasma screens playing live broadcasts of The Fox News Channel.

Hudson said the store entrance will feature softly painted wooden archways, wide-open entrances and icons reflecting the tropical beauty of Florida and the Orlando area. Within the Hudson News area, the Fox News ticker, will circle the contour of the domed ceiling.

Retail operation in this space will commence in October 2002, with the completed store opening in early 2003.
