Hudson Group has been awarded the gifts and news contract at Fort Lauderdale airport terminals one and two

Hudson Group has beaten competition from Areas and HMSHost to win the gifts and news contract at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport terminals one and two. Incumbent operator Paradies Shops will continue to operate the news and gifts concession at terminals three and four.

Hudson and its local partners, trading under the name AMS South Florida, will operate Hudson News, CNN Newstand Fort Lauderdale, Newslink Fort Lauderdale and speciality stores KidsWorks, Discovery Channel Airport Store, Life is Good, Vera Bradley, Sunglass Hut and Discover Fort Lauderdale.

Hudson Group COO Joseph DiDomizio said:  “This is a new market for everyone on our team, and we are all delighted to have been selected to serve the customers of Fort Lauderdale. As one of the pre-eminent airports in the state of Florida, Fort Lauderdale needs and deserves a top-notch retail concessions programme.”

He added: “After careful research into the terminals’ usage and traffic patterns, as well as the preferences of passengers and employees, we put together an assortment of award-winning retail concepts with something to please everyone.”
