Sales at Hong Kong SkyMart have increased by 11% driven by special Christmas promotions

Sales at Hong Kong SkyMart–Hong Kong International airport’s key retail facility–increased by 11% in one week following the launch of special Christmas promotions on December 8. Sales per passenger increased from $26.50 between December 1 and December 3 to $28 from December 8 to December 10.

Visitors with a single purchase of $105 or more at any shop or restaurant at Hong Kong SkyMart will be entitled to a gift box with a festive stocking. Shoppers who spend $240 will be rewarded with a limited-edition folding hanger, while those who spend $300 with a maximum of two receipts will receive both gifts. The promotions are available until January 8 2007.

Other special offers are printed inside SkyOffers, a coupon booklet distributed at the airport with offers such as a free bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label with purchases of $257 on Johnnie Walker Blue Label products.

Airport Authority Hong Kong commercial director Hans Bakker said: “We are glad that our integrated marketing campaign has turned into a win-win situation for both our shoppers and operators.”
