In an executive reshuffle at JFK airport Janice Holden has been promoted to a travel-retail marketing post

Janice Holden has been named vice-president of marketing and business development at New York John F Kennedy International airport's terminal four. The promotion, which is part of a reorganisation of senior executive positions, will give Holden responsibility for overseeing the marketing of stores at T4 as well as seeking new revenue-generating business and managing partnerships with airlines.

Holden's projects in her previous role at the airport as director of airline marketing and business development included showcasing T4 as an art space and developing film and television shoots at the terminal.

Holden joined JFK in 2001, leaving a vice-presidency at Martinair. Her promotion is the latest accomplishment in her 25-year career in the travel industry.

"Having Janice Holden responsible for marketing of both airlines and retail concessions will be a positive step for T4 that will help us continue to be recognised by our partners and passengers as the 'Terminal of Choice' in the New York area, a brand that Janice has consistently helped us to build," said airport operator JFK IAT president Alain Maca.  "Her strong work ethic, commitment and industry know-how will foster an even higher level of professionalism within our organisation, as she has made an indelible impression on T4."

Holden will be working closely with DFS Group, who secured a five-year extension to its duty-free concession at the terminal last month.
