Henri Wintermans launches new filter variant to travel-retail

**EXCLUSIVE TO TRW** Henri Wintermans Cigars has introduced a new variant to its leading Cafe Creme range in travel-retail, TRW can exclusively reveal

Cafe Creme Filter is developed from refined oriental tobacco, and the product has an in-built filter "for an extra smooth sensation". It builds on another line extension, Cafe Creme Oriental Aroma, which over the last three years has become the third best-selling variant in the range.

Wintermans said research showed that the idea of a filtered cigar was well-received by cigarillo smokers. "With the variant's performance on key measures such as purchase intention, Cafe Creme Filter proves to have an enormous potential. Respondents were very enthusiastic about the product's taste and the pleasant aroma."

Henri Wintermans Cigars is targeting new cigarillo smokers, and said the product would emerge as an aid for cigarette smokers who make the transition to cigars.

The company said: "Cafe Creme Filter has already achieved excellent sales results after the introduction late last year in the domestic markets of Australia, France, Italy, Spain and the UK." Wintermans said travel retailers were excited about the new line and listings had already been achieved.
