Hellenic profits up 35%

Greek operator Hellenic Duty Free Shops recorded a 54m ($57m) pre-tax profit for 2002, a 35% year-on-year increase, according to preliminary results announced mid-January

The retailer, which operates duty-free at Athens International airport and Greek ports, grew sales to 242m ($257m), up 25% on last year. The company closed 2001 with sales of 194m ($206m) and a pre-tax profit of 41m ($43.5m).
