Hellenic posts sales rise of 11.3%

Hellenic Duty Free Shops reports double-digit sales growth in 2005 and expects further gains in 2006

Greek retailer Hellenic Duty Free Shops recorded sales growth of 11.3% in 2005 to €261.5m ($316.1m) compared to €234.8m ($284.3m) in 2004. Earnings before tax reached €58m ($70.2m) in 2005.
 
The retailer said it expected a further rise in sales in 2006, predicting growth of 11-15%, or sales of €290-300m ($351.2-363.3m) by the end of the year. Sales before tax are expected to reach €64-65m ($77.5-78.7m), an increase of 10-12%. Income after tax is predicted to reach €44-45m ($53.3-54.5m), an increase of 16-19%.
