Hellenic in talks with Setur for Turkey border cooperation

Hellenic Duty Free Shops is in negotiations with Setur to form a partnership to operate six duty-free stores and the food and beverage business on the borders of Turkey
Hellenic Duty Free Shops has confirmed it is in talks with the winner of the Turkey border shop tender Setur Service Turistik to partner in the operation of the six duty-free stores and food and beverage business at the border gates.
Hellenic confirmed it had tabled the second best bid for the 15-year border store tender. The tender is part of a government strategy to modernise the Turkish border business and comprises the management of duty-free space totalling 8,000sq m (86,080sq ft) as well as food and beverage units. The stores are on the border with Turkey and Iraq, Cilvegozu between Turkey and Syria, Sarp and Sarpi on the border between Turkey and Georgia, and Kapikule and Derekoy, located on the border between Turkey and Bulgaria.
