Hellenic Duty Free Shops buys a controlling stake in local retailer

Greek travel retailer Hellenic Duty Free Shops (HDFS) has confirmed its board of directors has unanimously approved the acquisiton of a controlling stake of 51.84% in local retailer Elmec Sports from Homeric Department Stores for nearly €115m ($219m). The stake is the total participation of Homeric in Elmec Sports.
