Gebr Heinemann will reveal its first private label for the global travel market in September

Travel retailer Gebr Heinemann has revealed plans to launch a private label for travel products. The brand, Travel & Care, includes 12 different travel sets for passengers covering everything from style and skincare to health, and will be available from September 1. The packs carry the slogan ‘You travel and we care for you’.

Explaining the decision behind the move Gebr Heinemann management executive Kay Spanger said: “With Travel & Care we have established an innovative new brand. Studies revealed a demand for more products that customers need for travel. In particular, customers wanted to see bodycare products in travel sizes. With Travel & Care, we have addressed this issue by widening our range, keeping the traveller in mind.”

Head of retail marketing fragrances and cosmetics Katja Diehr commented: “We have applied the highest quality standards to our products in terms of both content and packaging and Travel & Care stands for good value for money. We’ve also found an excellent partner in ADA Cosmetics International, Europe’s number one for hotel cosmetics.”

The sets serve a number of key functions including first aid, shaving and hairstyling, relaxation, shoe cleaning and sewing. Depending on the content, the exclusive travel sets are priced at  12.90 ($17.60),  14.90 ($20.33) and 19.90 ($27.15). Thanks to labelling in English, the products can be marketed around the world; various colourful pictograms show what each set contains.

The sets comply with the strict carry-on rules for liquids and are presented in transparent pouches with zip fastenings.

Heinemann will unveil the label in all of its Travel Value & Duty Free shops across Europe. In Germany, the label will be featured at Frankfurt-Main and Frankfurt-Hahn airports as well as Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin Tegel and Schönefeld, Cologne-Bonn, Hannover, Leipzig/Halle, Dresden, Erfurt, Dortmund and Saarbrücken. Elsewhere in Europe, the label will appear in airports in Denmark, Norway, Austria, Turkey and Hungary.

Heinemann also plans to extend the Travel & Care brand in its Travel Value & Duty Free shops to other product categories.
