Heinemann retains Macedonian supply contracts
The company will continue to supply duty-free stores at Skopje and Ohrid airports this year
Gebr Heinemann has retained its supply contracts for duty-free stores at Skopje and Ohrid airports in Macedonia following a tender published by the Public Enterprise for Airport Services (PEAS), which manages the airport stores. The one-year contract covers the supply of liquor, tobacco and "other goods" at the airports.
PEAS marketing and commercial department senior officer Iva Tolevska said that previous experience with Heinemann had confirmed that the company was "solid and very serious in carrying out its responsibilities".
In December 2004 Heinemann was appointed to supply liquor, tobacco and confectionery to the airports for one year, while Hellenic Duty Free Shops was awarded the contract to supply beauty products, cigars, ouzo, brandy and wine (RavenFox.com, December 16 2004). Hellenic did not participate in the tender this time round and Heinemann has taken over its contract.
