An extension to the German operator's contract with Fraport will ensure its presence at Frankfurt airport until 2015

German retailer and wholesaler Gebr Heinemann has secured an extension to its contract with Frankfurt airport authority Fraport. The new deal, designed "to improve efficiency by introducing joint category and quality management", will run until 2015 and concerns duty-free and Travel Value retailing at Frankfurt International airport .

Fraport said that the two companies' priority would be to develop Frankfurt's duty-free business, with airside store expansions planned across the airport. The contract was signed on June 28.

Gebr Heinemann co-owner Claus Heinemann said: "We are very happy to have built such a long-term relationship with Fraport. There is a lot of new retail planned at Frankfurt and together with Fraport we will take the opportunity to renovate and add new concepts."
