Gebr Heinemann has reported a successful transition at Copenhagen Kastrup airport where it took over from The Nuance Group earlier this month
Gebr Heinemann began trading at Copenhagen Kastrup airport earlier this month, where duty-free operations were formerly managed by The Nuance Group. Heinemann will operate a 700sq m (7,532sq ft) interim store in terminal three until the 2,000sq m (21,520sq ft) main store is renovated and reopened in June. More than 100 of Heinemanns workforce made the journey from Hamburg to Copenhagen to help restock the store on the night of February 28, ready to open on March 1. The smaller pier shops and arrivals outlet were also restocked on the morning of February 28.
Copenhagen Airports vice-president commercial Henrik Busch said: We are very impressed with the spirit demonstrated by the Gebr Heinemann team and the excellent way in which this task has been organised. We are working excellently together and setting up this interim area means that we are already enjoying business success.
