Hawaiian Host links up with PRO Marketing And Sales

Hawaiian Host Chocolates has taken a further step in building its travel-retail presence with the announcement of an exclusive distribution agreement with PRO Marketing and Sales--the company created through last year's management buy-out of Weitnauer Distribution. The agreement commences April 1 and covers travel-retail markets in Europe, but excluding duty-free sales to US military bases.

Under the agreement, Hawaiian Host will be the only confectionery company specialising in chocolate covered nut products represented by PRO. This exclusivity will not affect other European competitors handled by PRO.

Hawaiian Host vice president America and Europe Brian Cox commented: "Hawaiian Host has built strong travel-retail distribution in Asia/Pacific. We said at the end of last year that Europe was our next major goal and we are confident that, with PRO representing our brand, Hawaiian Host will soon be appearing in travel-retail outlets throughout the region."
