HMSHost extends contract at Southwest Florida

HMSHost has extended its food and beverage contract at Southwest Florida International airport to 2018

HMSHost has extended its contract to develop the food and beverage offer at Southwest Florida International Airport. The contract, which extends through 2018, generates $20m in annual sales and expands HMSHost's presence in the state of Florida.

This year company will invest $1.7m in expanding its existing retail and food and beverage concessions programme at Southwest Florida. New food and beverage units at the airport will include a Quiznos, Nathan's Famous, and Great American Bagel.

HMSHost vice president of business development Ron Gomes said: "We are honoured to partner with Southwest Florida International Airport and are committed to continued investment while delivering exceptional customer service and quality."

Lee County Port Authority executive director Robert Ball said: "HMSHost has had impressive growth and we look forward to continued success. With a new terminal that has only been open a year, we continue to evaluate our food and beverage options to meet the needs of all airport users."

HMSHost food and beverage and shopping outlets in Florida airports include: Starbucks, Chili's, Palm City Market, Dewar's Clubhouse, Sbarro, Beaches Boardwalk, Casa Bacardi, Burger King and Maggie Moo's.
