Miami contract will bring HMSHost $97 million in revenue
HMSHost's recently acquired Miami concession will bring the retailer $97m in revenue over the eight-year term of the contract, according to the company. The concessions have an optional two-year extension.
The retailer won ten speciality concessions including:
Little Havana To Go – a locally owned craft shop featuring Cuban memorabilia and Little Havana souvenirs
Airport Wireless/Palm One – locally owned and operated and featuring high-tech toys and gifts
Island Styles – featuring an extensive range of Tommy Bahama clothing for men and women and including cosmetics
"The new retail programme contains the elements that make up the eclectic and rich heritage that is Miami," said Steve Johnson, vice president of business development at HMS Host.
Other planned facilities include Sporting eyes, Sweet Factory, Miami News Express, Coconut Grove News, Tropical News and Miami News. Construction is scheduled to begin early in 2007.
