HMSHost appoints vice-presidents

The group appoints three experienced executives to its senior management in the US

Travel-retail and food and beverage specialist HMSHost Corp has announced the appointment of Greg Bushnell as vice-president of design and construction, Kevin Erickson as vice-president of business development for the Southeast region of North America, and James Schmitz as vice-president of merchandise and concepts.

Bushnell will undertake the design and construction projects for all HMSHost airport and motorway locations in the US. He will also focus on building and enhancing relationships with vendors, consultants, landlords and other key contacts.

Bushnell previously served as head of design and construction at Ruby Tuesday Corp, where he managed the construction of about 50 new restaurants each year. Previously, he acquired 20 years of experience in design, construction and architectural management. 

Kevin Erickson is responsible for new business development and managing key client relationships in the Southeast region of the US. Erickson formerly served as vice- president of business development, design and construction for Foodbrand, a subsidiary of Mills Corp. He previously worked with HMSHost for nine years.

Jim Schmitz will direct all product selection for HMSHost’s merchandise categories as well as the company’s retail merchandise strategy. Schmitz has worked for Starboard Cruise Services, a division of the global luxury goods company LVMH Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton, where he served as vice-president of merchandising, planning and distribution.
