Elie Maalouf and Chuck Powers are promoted in the reshuffle that follows the death of Jim Borgano
US travel retailer and catering company HMSHost has announced a major restructure of its senior management team. Elie Maalouf becomes executive vice-president in charge of airport food and beverage operations. Formerly senior vice-president of international business development, Malouf is now responsible for the company's airport restaurant activites. He will continue to carry out his duties for the company's international development and operations, and its strategic planning departments.
Les Cappetta has been promoted to executive vice-president from his former position as senior vice-president of business development for North America. Cappetta will continue to oversee all North American business development activities. Chuck Powers has also been promoted to executive vice-president and chief human resources officer.
The reshuffle comes shortly after the death of executive vice-president of concept development Jim Borgano last December. HMSHost president and CEO John McCarthy said: "During the past year, HMSHost has achieved outstanding performance. These leadership changes position our company for the future and demonstrate the continuing strength of our management capabilities."
