HK Global lures Laredo shoppers downtown

The Texas duty-free operator has partnered a famous Laredo hotel to offer a special shopping and accommodation package

US border and downtown duty-free operator HK Global Duty Free Partners has created a Shop & Stay programme with La Posada Hotel and Suites. The retailer is offering a special package that includes a stay for two at the famous hotel, complimentary breakfast, free transportation to one of HK Global’s two downtown stores in Laredo, Texas, and a $25 voucher to spend at the stores.

“Our goal is to lure visitors that are visiting friends and family for the holidays to stay and shop downtown. This exciting programme gives us the opportunity to showcase everything that downtown Laredo has to offer,” said HK Global vice-president of marketing and business development Alfonso Barrera.

Upon arrival at the hotel, guests who reserve the special package will receive a gift bag with the $25 shopping spree certificate as well as other savings offers and downtown Laredo attractions information.

HK Global operates downtown duty-free stores in Laredo, Brownsville, Hidalgo and Roma.
