HDS Retail Asia Pacific makes debut in mainland China

The company has opened eight Relay stores and a Virgin shop in Shanghai Hongqiao International airport, marking its first foray into mainland China

HDS Retail Asia Pacific has made its debut in mainland China with the opening of eight Relay stores and a Virgin shop at landside and airside locations in Shanghai Hongqiao International airport.

Located in the western outskirts of Shanghai 13km from the downtown city centre, Hongqiao caters for over 20m passengers a year.

General manager China Severine Lanthier said: “HDS Retail Asia Pacific is delighted to be joining Hongqiao’s vibrant airport community and is grateful to the Shanghai International Airport Group for this opportunity and to our staff for their tremendous efforts leading up to the opening”.

HDS Retail Asia Pacific operates a network of over 100 outlets in the region in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Australia.
