The new corporate identity will ensure “ongoing alignment” between the Asia/Pacific business and its parent company

HDS Retail Asia Pacific has changed its name to Lagardère Services Asia Pacific. The move brings the Asian division in line with the rest of the company, which was renamed Lagardère from Hachette Distribution Services recently, with HDS Retail becoming Lagardère Services. In a statement the company said that its new corporate identity would ‘ensure ongoing alignment between the Asia Pacific business and its company.

Lagardère Services Asia Pacific CEO Scott Raisin confirmed that the change of name would have no effect on the company’s structure or business. He said: “We are still in the same organisation with the same teamand remain focused towards excellence in everything we do.”

Lagardère Services Asia Pacific operates more than 4,000 retail outlets in 20 countries and represents the company in the Asia Pacific region with operations in Australia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Its brands include Relay and Times NewsLink. French travel retailer Aelia is also owned by Lagardère Services, although it does not have a presence in Asia at present.
